Shopkeeper
Responsible for managing daily operations, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining inventory in a retail store.

what is Shopkeeper?
Shopkeeper responsibilities include :
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including shelves and merchandise displays
- Stock shelves with products and ensure items are properly labelled
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management about restocking needs
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately
- Verify customer identification for age-restricted products in the off-license section
- Follow proper procedures for handling cash, credit card transactions, and refunds
- Keep track of expiration dates and remove expired products from shelves
- Assist with receiving deliveries and checking goods for accuracy and quality
- Keep track of sales and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling and storing products
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and address customer inquiries or issues
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including securing the premises
- Adhere to store policies and procedures, including those related to security and cleanliness.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure all products are properly stocked and displayed in an organized manner
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, restocking products as needed
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Check identification and enforce age restrictions for purchasing alcohol in the off-license section
- Keep the store clean and tidy, including shelves and product displays
- Assist customers with inquiries, provide product information, and offer guidance
- Follow proper procedures for handling cash, credit card transactions, and refunds
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth operation in the store
- Receive deliveries, check goods for quality and accuracy, and update inventory records
- Adhere to health and safety regulations when handling and storing products
- Report any issues or concerns to store management promptly
Requirements & skills :
- Basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety requirements of working with heavy products.
- Basic understanding of monitor and record food temperature.
- Communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- T. literate – Basic understanding
- Numerate – count money.
- Available during the shop opening hours and the follow shift rota (Full time staff should available and work minimum 5 days a week and part time staff should be available to work for at least 3 days a week)
